Department of Ruminants Management and Feeding


Mission

Generate, develop, capacitate and transfer the technologies for the production of ruminant that may be sustainable, satisfying the clients and promoting the social participation.


Vision

  • Investigate and project bio-economically sustainable technologies in the production of ruminants.
  • Spread and promote the technologies through the training to the macro national and international environment.
  • Satisfy the clients with the technological transfer.
  • Offer quality and trust in our results.

Research lines

  • Use of sugarcane, its byproducts and local resources of the agricultural industry.
  • Grazing, forages, legumes, shrubs and their combinations.
  • Systems for the production of milk and meat in the tropics.
  • Production of buffalo’s milk.
  • Feeding and management of milk replacer.
